MAPS is the ONLY Comprehensive Teaching and Fellowship for the Biomedical Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders

The diagnosis of ASD affects an estimated 1 in 88 children and therefore has reached many families.  Given this, there is a need for teaching and mentoring medical professionals to help stem this tide.

The Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS) has been developing an ASD Fellowship for physicians and other medical professionals.  Under the guidance of Daniel Rossignol MD FAAFP, and David Berger MD FAAP, this evidence-based course of study has been uniquely designed by clinicians, for clinicians.

The rapidly increasing evidence-based material that supports the biomedical treatment of autism is ready to be organized and passed on to practitioners in a systematic, in-depth course of study, in order to have the greatest impact on this medically complex pediatric population.

That is why we would like to invite you to attend the upcoming MAPS Spectrum Standard of Care Conference 2012 in Orlando, Florida.  This conference encompasses the first and second phases of MAPS Training.  All qualified attendees will be able to become a member of MAPS.

Parents are searching for qualified practitioners who can help their children reach their full potential.  Clinicians are searching for solid, evidence-based education that will best prepare them to help their patients.  When searching through the complexities of ASD, MAPS helps provide direction.

A letter to fellow collegues from MAPS President, Dan Rossignol, MD, FAAFP

Yet, for people like you and I, practicing medical professionals who are left to battle ASD, we need to implement a sound standard of care that is built on scientifically tested and proven methods...   continue
