Pakhi Chaudhuri - MAPS

Pakhi Chaudhuri, MD, FAAP, DABMA, FMAPS

Pakhi Chaudhuri, MD, is board-certified in Pediatrics and Medical Acupuncture. She practiced primary care pediatrics for over 20 years and integrated acupuncture and Shonishin—a needle-free Japanese technique—into her services for more than 13 years. She eventually transitioned out of primary care to focus on environmental health and to educate medical professionals about the role of toxic exposures in the increasing prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders. Along the way, she was inspired by the potential of precision medicine to help unlock the full potential of children on the autism spectrum.

In pursuit of this mission, Dr. Chaudhuri recognized that her background in medical acupuncture could contribute meaningfully to this work. She became certified in Qigong Sensory Training (QST), a parent-delivered intervention supported by 15 years of clinical research resulting in 21 scientific publications, including four randomized controlled trials. Her clinical experience with QST brought the data to life; witnessing healing at the levels of body, mind, and spirit for the children and their families has deepened her commitment to advancing QST as a standard of care for children with autism spectrum disorder.
