Peter Sullivan, CEO and founder of Clear Light Ventures, Inc., is a leading advocate and philanthropist in environmental health, dedicated to minimizing public exposure to harmful toxins and wireless radiation. For over two decades, he has dedicated his work to advancing human performance and environmental health, drawing from personal experience recovering from mercury poisoning and high EMF (electromagnetic field) exposure.

Peter’s efforts in detoxification and EMF safety have been highlighted in Toxin Toxout, The Out-of-Sync Child Grows Up, and CNN’s Morgan Spurlock: Inside Man. He serves on the advisory board of the International Institute for Building-Biology & Ecology and is a board member of Pure Earth.

Over the past 10 years, Peter has been a key funder in major environmental health initiatives. He supported nearly half of the Natural Resources Defense Council’s mercury program, contributing to a landmark 2008 lawsuit that compelled the EPA to close the cement industry’s exemption from the Clean Air Act—resulting in an estimated $6.7 billion in annual healthcare savings. He also backed multiple non-profits involved in the development of the UN’s Minamata Convention on Mercury, signed in 2013.

In 2012, Clear Light Ventures co-created the Toxic Metal Challenge with Enviu, attracting 90 participants from 18 countries to propose solutions for large-scale heavy metal testing.

Currently, Peter is one of the nation’s leading private funders in wireless radiation and EMF research, supporting projects at Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and top environmental health organizations. He regularly speaks on autism, environmental health, and EMF safety at conferences across the U.S. and internationally.

Before founding Clear Light Ventures, Peter held roles as a software designer at Netflix, Interwoven, Excite@Home, and Silicon Graphics. In the early stages of his career, Peter served as a pilot and Executive Officer in the U.S. Navy. He went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Detroit, and later earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
