Dr. Thiago Cavalcante, NMD, is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor with more than 15 years of clinical experience in medicine. He began his career as a Medical Doctor in Brazil, specializing in Otolaryngology (ENT), where he practiced as an ENT surgeon and cochlear implant specialist with a strong focus on pediatric care. He further advanced his surgical training through a Fellowship in Ear Surgery in Switzerland and completed additional clinical experiences at Harvard Medical School and Toronto General Hospital before transitioning to Naturopathic Medicine.

Today, Dr. Thiago dedicates his practice to helping children and adolescents with complex chronic health conditions through a personalized, root-cause approach. His clinical interests include autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, OCD, PANS/PANDAS, behavioral challenges, developmental delays, immune dysregulation, gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. He integrates evidence-based functional medicine, nutritional medicine, lifestyle interventions, and conventional medical knowledge to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that support long-term health and resilience.

To further expand his expertise in pediatric mental health, Dr. Thiago completed the Fellowship in Functional and Integrative Psychiatry for Children through *Psychiatry Redefined*, an advanced training program focused on evidence-based functional medicine, nutritional psychiatry, and metabolic approaches to identifying and addressing the root causes of mental health conditions in children and adolescents. This specialized training complements his passion for providing personalized, science-based care that empowers children and families to achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in health and well-being.

Dr. Thiago is also honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PedANP), where he contributes to advancing excellence in integrative pediatric healthcare and promoting collaboration among clinicians dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families.
