The Morganton clinic was established 33 years ago and the Marion clinic in 2009. The clinics are designed to provide sensory integration therapy. Elevated surfaces and a variety of swings designed by A. Jean Ayres are utilized. The clinics have at times incorporated the use of a climbing gym and tunnel and therapy animals.

• Occupational and speech therapy services are provided. Services include fine motor skill intervention, activities of daily living, fine and gross motor skill intervention, oral motor intervention, picky eater interventions, social skills building, visual motor and visual perceptual skill intervention. Communications skill building during OT services are provided with basic sign language and communication boards with photos of the environment and equipment to facilitate choice making. basic cooking skills are provided.

Practice provides direct therapy in creatively designed treatment rooms rich in movement opportunities. Elevated surfaces to reach by climbing ladders, descending through enclosed tunnels or climbing up tunnels. Mattress covered surfaces, crash pads on the surfaces and barrels and balls are used. Parents are educated on the value of the sensory rich environment for their child and how aspects of the environment may be created in their homes. parents are educated about basic dietary strategies to improve their child's overall health and brain health.
