I am Dr. Camila Munhoz, a pediatric gastroenterologist from Brazil with more than 12 years of medical experience, including 10 years dedicated exclusively to pediatric gastroenterology. I hold a Master’s degree from UNICAMP and have completed several postgraduate courses in functional integrative medicine. In my clinical practice, I combine evidence-based pediatric gastroenterology with functional integrative approaches to address complex gastrointestinal conditions in children, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My focus is on logical, science-based investigation, clear and compassionate communication with families, and the development of personalized therapeutic plans that bridge traditional and integrative medicine.

  • • Pediatric gastroenterology consultations (infants, children, adolescents, and young adults)
  • • Evaluation and management of gastrointestinal disorders in children with ASD
  • • Functional integrative assessment of gut health (microbiome, dysbiosis, intestinal permeability, nutritional deficiencies)
  • • Development of individualized therapeutic plans combining conventional and functional integrative medicine
  • • Nutritional guidance and supplement protocols based on clinical and laboratory evaluation
  • • Coordination of multidisciplinary care for children with complex gastrointestinal and behavioral conditions
