I'm very happy to now be able to serve children and families in my private practice by integrating psychiatry with functional medicine and creating individualized plans that are right for each family. I typically see patients ages 4 through young adult. Prior to going off on my own, my career was dedicated to helping neurodivergent children, their families and teaching trainees. I have a significant amount of experience on specialized inpatient units built for children with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses that resulted in severe behaviors. I have assisted in opening and improving specialized units and programs to be more neurodivergent friendly. Prior to starting a private practice, I was the Medical Director of Neurobehavioral Services in the Mental Health service line at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Virginia. In my past positions, I always felt limited in the ways I could help my patients. Opening Mind Sprout Neuropsychiatry & Wellness has given me the freedom to treat patients and create plans with families that take the whole picture into account.
