Dr. Katie Dahlgren is a board-certified naturopathic physician with more than 19 years of clinical experience specializing in complex chronic illness and neurological disorders. She is the co-founder and medical director of Oak Tree Integrative Medicine and Spa in Woodinville, Washington, where she provides comprehensive, individualized care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Dahlgren earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Medicine, with a minor in psychology, from Gonzaga University. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in 2007 and completed an intensive three-year clinical residency with Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD. This advanced training strengthened her expertise in chronic infections, neurological and developmental conditions, and environmentally triggered illness.
Her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease and co-infections, mold and biotoxin illness, mitochondrial dysfunction, autoimmune and neuroimmune disorders, and anti-aging and regenerative medicine. She has specialized expertise in caring for children with autism spectrum disorder, PANDAS/PANS, sensory processing challenges, and developmental delays, as well as adults with complex, multisystem health concerns that require thorough evaluation.
Dr. Dahlgren takes an integrative approach that emphasizes identifying and addressing underlying contributors to illness. Her therapeutic modalities include clinical nutrition, botanical and homeopathic medicine, targeted supplementation, hormone optimization, pharmaceutical management, detoxification protocols, and lifestyle interventions. Her procedural training includes perineural injection therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for orthopedic and aesthetic applications, major and minor ozonotherapy, and intravenous nutrient and oxidative therapies.
Committed to ongoing learning and professional collaboration, Dr. Dahlgren works closely with leaders in integrative and functional medicine. She has presented at national conferences hosted by the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), The Forum for Integrative Medicine, and The Autism Community in Action (TACA). She has also been featured on educational platforms including The Better Health Guy and the Gordon Medical Forum, and her written work has appeared in Autism Advocate Parenting magazine. She is a fellow of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs and the American Academy of Ozonotherapy, and serves as a key opinion leader for Biopure Health.
The therapeutic relationship is central to Dr. Dahlgren’s practice. She is known for her attentive, compassionate style, her ability to untangle complex clinical presentations, and her commitment to patient-centered, evidence-informed, outcome-based care. She empowers patients and families with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to take an active role in their care and support lasting improvements in health.
